Room 5, Lena's Room

Vermont country inn lodging

Our friends stayed here and wanted us to see and enjoy what they had experienced here. It is everything and more than we had expected.

This room is so cozy and bright and restful - just loved the canopy bed and the elegant bed covers!  There is a lot of history and memories here."

A favorite of many of our guests, this elegant, dignified room is on the Second floor of the Main House and features a canopy Queen bed, and a matching Canopy Twin bed, Queen Anne chair, large windows overlooking the front of the building, oversized closet, private bath with shower, hair dryer, large color remote TV, DVD player, CD player and clock radio, a work desk, telephone with voicemail & automated wake-up, and wireless B Internet.    The Hospitality Refreshment table is nearby.

Lena Pond Hartness was the loving and respected wife of James Hartness.  A loving mother, she enjoyed gardening.  Her gardens were well-known and visited by many.  James Hartness built a fieldstone Tea House and the famous Hartness pergola with reflecting ponds to grace Lena's gardens.
